AntiMatter Games Shows Off A Stunning Painted Mantis Shrimp
December 22, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
I know we've said it before, but you cannot deny how spectacular the painted miniatures for Deep Wars look.
AntiMatter Games has done a fantastic job of creating interesting creatures for their underwater world that not only capture your attention from a gaming perspective but look absolutely brilliant with some paint.
There are not many other games on the market where you have such a wide variety of paint schemes to explore, and even less that offer such a wide variety of terrain options on the table.
Have look at the incredible paint scheme on the Giant Mantis Shrimp, a warbeast for the Nereids of Blood Reef.
Have you taken the plunge into Deep Wars?

That is a little small for a mantis shrimp…
They are also REALLY dangerous:
“In captivity, some larger species can break through aquarium glass.”

Well, in the scale of everything else in the Deep Wars game, IT’S HUGE! That’s why it’s the Giant Mantis Shrimp, smaller than a real one of course, but I’m guessing more deadly in game. I think they should have a ‘Mantis Shrimp Swarm’ as well, seems like a group of regular sized ones could be pretty deadly too, even for some of the beasties in Deep Wars.
That is stunning
It’s an amazing model, rather scared of painting mine now 😉
Mantis Shrimp in real life are all sorts of awesome by the way:

The figure looks fabulous and the paint work is stunning.
So good! I wonder if they are going to do a giant sized Water Bear / Tardigrade next =p https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tardigrade
“123 DEATH!”
The common refrain when seeing a mantis shrimp, fascinating creatures.
Lovely model too!
That scares me.
