Antenocitis Workshop Release Panel Templates
September 13, 2011 by dracs
Antenocitis Workshop have released a new selection of Photo-etch Panel Scribing Templates for you to use in your modelling.
Here's what Antenocitis have to say about these:
"3 excellent sets of panel-scribing templates for the modeller, scratch-builder and wargamer priced very competitively at £5.99 retail and £5.39p here in store.
These templates are ideal for creating your own panel-line patterns, accentuating existing panels lines and even creating complex scribed panel lines using combinations of the templates."
What do you all think of these? Think you can find a use for them? Let us know your thoughts on these below.
They look like they may make a good stencil for painting as well, which could be help for tanks and such.
It’s an interesting idea. Not sure my skill level is up to using them properly 😛
Might get the rectangles with rounded corners for my scale aircraft when rescribing such panels.
Rescribing takes a little practice but is not too difficult.
Whatever tools get sold for the job a pin in a pin vice is the best that I have used.
Trick is NOT to apply pressure but lots of light passes. This will give enough of a groove for the pin to find and it becomes easier.
The problem I have found with templates is sometimes you just can’t get the bloomin thing aligned as there is some lump or bump in the way! lol
That’s models for you: lumps and bumps all over (a bit like humans).
Wish someone will do a video so I know what the heck I’m doing with them. Never used them before so It would help me.
Actually a very good idea: I will add a scribing tutorial to the “To Do™” list 😉
