If you weren't aware of how odd demons used to be back in the day then check out this option from Antediluvian Miniatures, Stolas! Bow down before this birdy Great Prince Of Hell.
This rather cute looking little fellow actually commands twenty-six legions of demons but also takes some time out to be a teacher. Yes, according to some of the background on this fellow he is quite the fan of astronomy and also has a knowledge of poisonous plants, herbs and precious stones. He sounds quite nice if it wasn't for the demonic legions thing...
He is nearly always portrayed as a crowned owl with long legs or as a raven. I love the idea of including him in a dungeon delve as a rather quirky looking character that you think is just along for the ride, perhaps as a pet, only to turn into a terrifying creature when the heroes least expect it.

It’s thanks to the work of Jonathan Wojcik that I know who this ridiculous-looking thing is. I imagine that in a lot of medieval bestiaries these things initially looked terrifying, but nowadays they just look really silly. If they sculpted Stola, I’d be interested to see their takes on other bizarre medieval bestiary drawings like Buer (imagine a lion’s head with a wheel of legs instead of a body).
Yes, he’d be a good ally on a dungeon crawl. Summoning 26 legions of demons could come in handy.
