Anglo-Saxon Sneak Peak From 4Ground
April 19, 2021 by avernos
The design team at 4Ground have shown off a set of beautiful buildings for the tabletop to sate the needs of any dark age or medieval player. We don't have a date yet for their release but if you keep an eye on their new release section they should hopefully appear there soon
Anglo-Saxon Buildings // 4Ground
The late period Anglo-Saxon Cruck Framed buildings show the very latest in building techniques for the up and coming villager looking to upgrade from their old A frame cabins or sunken post hole houses.
These are ideal village terrain for the Norman Conquest or Barons’ War periods of conflict. In fact, these would not look out of place for village dwellings during the English Civil War period and the Monmouth Rebellion of the 17th Century!
That'll Cause a Draft
The buildings come in an assortment of sizes to make your village a unique place to live and the pre primed wall panels of the hooked timbers and plaster walls mean you can get them on the tabletop in next to no time at all. Once again many teddy bears died to bring us our thatching material but I feel it is a small price to pay for 15 years of bone dry living.
Once again these are a fantastic addition for gamers from 4Ground and while they're best known in England some rare examples on the continent do exist if your gaming takes you in those directions. With a few still standing to this day they could even be used in much later gaming periods suitably weathered down.
What do you think of these crooked buildings?
