The American Civil War Is In The Cards With North Vs. South On Kickstarter

One passion of mine is the American Civil War. It is one that is still in the minds of many of an American.
It is a fascinating time period and so many innovations in warfare came of it. I am always looking for new ways to game the war. I am currently working on a project that involves the ACW (American Civil War). But sometimes it is nice to have a light and easier way to get in some ACW action.
Now on Kickstarter is a card game called North Vs. South where you can play as either the Union Army or Confederates.
The objective is to capture and hold as many cities as possible before the Abraham Lincoln, Emancipation Proclamation, Gettysburg Address and Appomattox Courthouse cards are drawn to end the game.
As you draw cards any new city cards drawn are laid in the play area and you and your opponent will fight over ultimate control. Will you play it safe and heavily defend or be aggressive and make the attack to take the city?
This looks to be a fast and fun game anyone interested in the ACW would like to play. The pledge amount is very modest so just about anyone can pick up a copy for themselves. I know I am going to pledge and get a set for me and my Dad.
Would you play this?

I loved this on the PC when I was a kid (and more recently on an app although it was tough to play on a phone).
This looks like it’s a little more stratigic than the PC game. While it’s clearly not a card-game version of the computer game, hopefully it will have some similar elements to it. I will definitely take a closer look.
