June 17, 2021 by fcostin
All aboard! There are some very special terrain sets coming this week from TTCombat, as we are heading on the Red Star Railway. The World War terrain range is expanding once more, with brand new trains, tracks and platforms that reside 2000 miles East into Soviet Russia. Get your tickets ready, as these unique MDF kits are sure to get your tabletop exactly where you are heading for.
Red Star Railway Engine // TTCombat
Red Star Railway Engine // TTCombat
Unlike any other terrain piece I have seen, the Red Star Railway Engine is certain to be a stand-out piece atop of your tabletop. This complete steam engine can be built to pull along different carriages, regardless of their state.
Each different carriage has a slight bit of weathering to reflect the unfolding of the war surrounding. The broken carriage is the perfect place to hide and snipe, using the general disarray of the set as cover for yourself and your armies.
Railway Line // TTCombat
Need something to keep you on track? The Railway Line set is absolutely fantastic for scatter. I would use these personally in a train graveyard almost. The little train shed, larger shed, wood and rails make this the perfect opportunity for cover.
Platform // TTCombat
Before you get side-tracked, the final terrain set available to pre-order this week from TTCombat has everything you need to completely tie together your full board. Including a tower, small office, a platform and storage for coal.
These products will be going live at 3PM on Friday, so be sure to get there early, and not miss your train.
I am not sorry for my train puns, I merely just have a locomotive. Trains are such a broad topic, I am glad none of you has gained tunnel-vision up to this point and I haven't got your signals crossed. What terrain set would you choo-se? Express your views in the comments!
Ooh Lloyd’s going to be chuff chuff chuffed when he this set.
You think he’s going to be all hot and steaming and making funny high pitched whistling noises? 😉
I couldn’t have asked for better responses myself… hahaha
Lol Warren will have to shunt him into a sideing to cool down.
That’s certainly better than some of their wild west locomotives. The only real issue I have with those offerings is the bend in the points in the railway line, I am reasonably certain that nothing bigger than a pump wagon would be able to cope with such a tight bend, it’s actually hurting my eyes looking at it
I feel like the train puns have really ran out of steam now.
Nice looking kit and should be fairly easy to hide the “Red Star” branding to keep it a bit more historically fluid. Looks like to pick up everything it’s around £35 for a 4×4 table’s worth of track etc. Could make for some very fun scenarios
