Join The 101st In Airborne Commander Solo Deckbuilder
March 4, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Stratamax Games has an awesome new Kickstarter that enlists you in the 101st against the Germans to see if you have the winning strategies to survive and overcome the enemy forces.
This is a really interesting game that provides solo game play in a deck building style game. In Airborne Commander, you draw 4 cards from the Mission Deck each turn and fill the Battlefield to find out what Axis forces you will face. Each Axis unit left unchallenged will add disorganized cards to your deck, making it hard to mount a successful attack.
The Airborne has 4 decks involved in the game play which offer different elements to enter the game at different times. Sometimes you get reinforcements, sometimes troops, sometimes cards that cause disorganization and lack of cohesiveness that may render your effort useless.
For each Axis unit you destroy, you remove them from play and receive a victory point, for those that you leave unopposed, you receive disorganization cards that will make it increasingly difficult to advance against the enemy.
Whether you are a fan of history or a fan of strategy, you will likely enjoy this game- the fact that it does not require another equally enthusiastic gamer can also be a plus!
Care to join the 101st for a go at the Axis?

As usual the postage is silly compared to the pledge level I can afford
Will wait until it gets a general Release or is General Release a stretch goal card? lol
Thanks to $25 game with $20 postage from US this is one fewer KS to catch my eye.
I may be wrong, but it is a card game and therefore not going to be a huge parcel.
20 bucks from the states seems a lot to me I know things have become more expensive to move around the globe, but is this a fair cost?
Too often we see shipping costs equivalent to the cost of the product itself. It is a real disincentive
I have to agree. What looks like a fun little game is yet again let down by over ambitious postage charges.
Shame really as I would have backed this project. I will wait like others once it has been released and being sold here in the UK.
$20 to post me a deck of cards? Get stuffed!
