Agema Miniatures’ Roman Ship Crew Man The Oars
July 1, 2019 by brennon
Agema Miniatures have been showing off some work that is going into a Roman Ship Crew. This set of miniatures are to suit the Lembos Galley which was recently released.
The miniatures are based on an old Etruscan sculpture and evidence from between the 4th and 2nd Centuries BC. Whilst there is no hard and fast evidence to draw upon these are looking pretty good to me as someone with little knowledge of the period!
The set will end up as a crew of five as you can see here with a commander sitting in his chair. There will then be two helmsmen, a lookout and a second in command. If you're looking to fight out battles on the sea during the Punic Wars then this could be a good shout!
I do really like the idea of some Ancient warfare on the high seas, triremes and galleys smashing together as soldiers leap from one ship to the next.
Will you be picking these up?

Those are really nice.
nice command crew and the finished ship looks fabulous.
The captain would also make for a good king mini.
