Agema Miniatures Call On Carthaginian Commanders
August 18, 2020 by brennon
Agema Miniatures are building on their Ancients collection with some Carthaginians next. They have managed to complete their Etruscan range and now they are looking to another famous power from the Ancient world and a thorn in the side of Rome!
Carthaginian Command // Agema Miniatures
The first set of miniatures for the collection are these Command figures who are going to be leading the way for your warriors on the tabletop as they beat at the gates of Rome. The idea is that these miniatures are going to be sculpted with equipment that makes them fitting for both the 1st and 2nd Punic War. This seems like a good way to make sure the range has as much use as possible for collectors.

The range is going to expand with plenty of additional units to complement the period. You'll be able to get your hands on Libyans and Phoenicians with a whole bunch of heavy infantry, skirmishers and cavalry to give you a very complex fighting force. From there they are looking to develop a range of Samnites, Lucanians and Messapians as well. If you know who all those peoples are then you get a big thumbs up from me.
Once again it seems like Stavros has done a great job on these miniatures and the Agema collection seems like a good option for those who want to add a few more metal figures into their collection to give it a unique look. Are you tempted by Carthage as an army?
Perhaps you could use them in SAGA: Age Of Hannibal?

Good to see Agema expanding their Carthaginian range and hopefully the Etruscan Kickstarter will happen soon. The Samnites, Lucanians and Messapians were all Italian tribes, Ben, though I did have to google the Messapians as I hadn’t heard of them before. The Samnites Wars was when the Romans started using the manipular system that you have probably heard about during weekenders.
Very nice looking figures.
