Afterlife’s CRANE Infantry Gets A Reboot
May 20, 2015 by stvitusdancern
Anvil Industry has scrapped their original WIP of the CRANE Infantry for Afterlife: The Shards of Liberty, and created a reboot. This reboot is much more high tech and industrial looking, and shares design elements with the CRANE Wardrone.
You can see that the heavy rifle is mounted directly to the chest armour, to absorb recoil better when firing huge volleys at distant targets, which is where they excel. Giving a nod to the delay with the change, Anvil is upgrading the unit size from 4 to 5.
What do you think of this reboot?

I’m very curious about Afterlife, it looks like it has a lot of potential to show a more high tech dystopian future war setting, but I think I’ll wait to see it grow and see what other factions they might introduce first.
Quite impractical.
picked up a few afterlife minis at salute. they are really great quality and detail 🙂
Agreed. I have several of their figures as well, including the little gun tractors. Just not big on this particular concept.
You would need to be a contortionist to aim this weapon properly… thumbs down I am afraid.
Morning all,
This is just a WIP, im making adjustments to the weapon mount to make it more “aimable”.
The Iron Sights are just there for back up, the primary firing mode is through the HUD inside the helmet, using the camera and range finder mounted on the weapon. No need for the user to actually be looking down the weapon, and also allows for firing around corners without exposing to much.
Should have a final version of the miniature previewed within the next day or two.
looking forward to the final finished render.
