Check Out These Adobe Buildings From Fogou’s Brickstarter
November 29, 2019 by avernos
Fogou Models has a terrific new range of 28mm resin buildings being funded right now through their Mud Brick Starter campaign . As you can see these are an amazing looking collection when put together.
I'm just going to stay quiet for a moment and allow you to drink in that sight.
Done? Great isn't it, and everything in that photo apart from the lady on the roof is available through this Kickstarter. The adobe buildings come in a variety of sizes and styles to allow you to tailor your battlefield for the game you play.
Whether you're fighting in 20th century Tunisa, or on a planet in a galaxy far far away that just happened to be filmed there, these models will do the job beautifully. The buildings are cast in a sand-coloured resin and have enough texturing on them so you can wash and dry brush them to get them on the tabletop as quickly as possible. The buildings themselves are supplied with wooden doors where necessary, but if you fancy using these in a post-apocalyptic or science fiction setting you can ping Chris a message to replace them with good sturdy metal doors.
The sculpts themselves have been inspired by vernacular architecture so you don't have to worry about any of the more outlandish buildings looking out of place on your tabletop, it's amazing what can be done with sun and mud. I have to say the one above is probably my favourite and will be hiding the droids that you are looking for on a legion table as soon as I can.
I love the addition of the additional items you can add on, the produce and jars give the tables a realistically lived-in look, while at the same time providing some nice line of site blocking terrain, the steps will come in handy as many of the pieces can be stacked giving you nice levels and variation to how you place your pieces on the battlefield, giving great modularity to even a small number of buildings in how you use them.
The Brickstarter is already funded and stretch goals are apparently on the way as soon as Chris gets a chance to finish them off. Being somewhat of a gaming butterfly I can use these in Legion, Crusader era, Old West, WWII, and of course colonial Africa. So really I'll be saving money by getting a set, won't I?
By Grabthar's hammer, what a savings!

It’s a simple jet appealing design…
Great looking terrain buildings for dessert like tables.
I could definitely see the Corporation fighting the Maurders over this or the Enforcers coming in to seek and destroy a secret lab that has unleashed hell upon the planet. Or maybe this planet has a special mineral that the Forgefathers will do anything they want to obtain. Really great stuff.
Trying to figure out what a Brickstarter is?!??
I need this in my life…..
I can heartily recommend Fougou buildings. I bought a set when he came up to our local show in Exeter a few years ago when he was just starting out. I have the Dark Age beehive huts and oratory and the barrow entrance. They look fantastic and paint up really easily. I’m trying to save up to go all in on these ones despite the time of year. I’m sure I’ll figure it out somehow. It’s only money after all!
Nice. I have an incomplete project bashing some Bandua desert buildings into sci fi. These are much nicer though
Arrakeen, Count me in i need some more for my Dune table.
