Add Some Wild West Grit To Your Game With Six Shooters Dice
April 28, 2017 by deltagamegirl22
There's nothing more satisfying than rolling a bunch of dice on the table - unless that something is rolling a bunch of perfectly themed dice!
Black Oak Workshop is on Kickstarter with their Six Shooters-Western Themed Dice, and they're ready to add that little extra somethin' to your game.
These are six shooters themed D6's that literally have you looking down the business end of the barrel, where your pips are represented by the chambers that are filled in. Pretty clever, right?
If you're looking for even wilder west goodies, they've got you covered there as well with a suede, Pont Express themed dice bag and perhaps even more importantly, six shooter shot glass!
This is one of those projects that's not only the great little extra to add to your collection but makes the perfect gift for a gamer friend or Western fan.
Will you be adding some lucky dice to your collection?

I’m a big fan of themed dice. But these (to my eyes) suffer from the same issue that a lot of them do. The numbers are too hard to pick out. Not an problem when you’re rolling one or two, but if you roll a handfull? You have to stop and properly check them. The recent GW Tzeentch dice were the same.
I get that it is fun to have thematic dice in your games. That definitely adds to the overall experience.
However …
The complexity of the art makes it even needlessly difficult to read those dice when rolling just a few of them, which slows down the game.
