The production cast for Acolyte Miniatures' The Defeated have come through and they're looking impressive. If you're wanting a 72mm scale project to get stuck into then this range from them could be perfect for it especially since they're doing so many different pieces!

They seem to have captured the serene moment where she realises that it's all over for her on the battlefield and she has become resigned to her lot in life. The textures on the fur look like they will take to highlighting and shading nicely and the way they've modeled the tossed and wind-lashed hair is great too.

The Defeated 72mm (Components)

Above is the full range of components that you'll be getting (apart from the scenic snow base) including the missing arm from the images at the top of the page. I think it would be fitting to put a bit of blood splatter over that and on the pure snowy white ground to show that she managed to take down a few more enemies before she met her end.

The original concept artwork for this piece also came with a selection of arrows that had bought her down and I assume you'll be getting those too although they are probably very delicate components!
