ABC Warriors! Warlord Taking Pre-Orders For New Starter Set
November 13, 2023 by brennon
Warlord Games dropped quite an epic set of pre-orders over the weekend. You'll now be able to dive into another 2000 AD world with ABC Warriors and their new Starter Set, Increase the Peace!
ABC Warriors: Increase The Peace - Starter Game // Warlord Games
ABC Warriors: The Miniatures Game comes from Andy Chambers and Gav Thorpe and is a skirmish game for two or more players to dive into. You'll be playing out ABC Warriors: The Volgan War which was written by Pat Mills and illustrated by Clint Langley. All of the miniatures are inspired by their art and design focusing on these military robots. They were built to last; "atomic, bacterial and chemical" as they say.
The Starter Set comes with a whole host of miniatures for you to play with including Sergeant Hammerstein and three Hammerstein MKIs as well as Volkhan and three Volgan AK47s.

This initial set will also come with a miniature representing Howard Quartz. As well as the miniatures, you also get scenery, tokens, tarot-size cards, character and auxiliary cards and all of the rules you need to play. ABC Warriors can be played in individual combat missions or as part of a campaign system where you grow and develop your warband of bots.
If you're interested, you can also get your hands on the Rulebook separately if you prefer. For a limited time, the rulebooks in the Starter Set and individual purchases will be signed by both Chambers and Thorpe!
More ABC Warriors!
As well as the Starter Set, you can also get your hands on three additional sets. The first of these contains three characters from the expanding lore of ABC Warriors.
Blackblood Ghengiz & Raz-Putin // ABC Warriors
This set comes with three characters from the Volgon side of things. Inside this set, you get General Blackblood, Ghengiz and Raz-Putin who will help you get stuck in as you enact your evil plans! It should be noted that all of the miniatures here are in 28mm scale and come in Warlord Resin Plus.
On the ABC side of things, you have some fun characters like the Robo-Paratrooper and Mongrol!

You've got some awesome miniatures here for you to play around with, especially if you want to dive deeper into the stories from ABC Warriors. I am very sure that a lot of folks are going to be yelling "Mongrol Smush!" as he rampages across the battlefield. I imagine that might be how you tell a veteran fan from someone new to the game!
Last but not least, we have the Volgan Yaks that will swooping in from the skies to cause all kinds of terror.

Volgan war droids are going to be handy at spreading fear from the skies and giving air cover, engaging with enemy craft and also those on the ground. They have the deadly PPRK "Burp" Gun but also the Berezin Microcannon should you require.
Some great miniatures and it's nice to see Warlord get to the point where they can show off all of the ABC Warriors work that they've been doing. Hopefully, this is what ABC Warriors fans have been waiting for!
Will you be picking these up?

Damnit I really want some.
Still no Nemesis the Warlock. But I’ll take these anyway.
I’m torn with this. I went all in on Slaine and loved the models. Not particularly enamoured with the gameplay though – a typical Andy Chambers affair with lots of dice rolling resulting in not a lot happening in the end. So do I end up going in on this for what will end up just being a painted collection, rather than a gaminv experience? Difficult one. I’m resigned to the fact that I’m not big on gaming, and collecting and painting is as much of a legitimate hobby as gaming is. But it does feel a bit of a… Read more »
Yup! All in on this one too. The 2000AD game from Warlord Games is possiblity the most fun I’ve had with a skirmish game. I have almost all of Strontium Dog and Dredd and I already have all of Sláine so this is right up my alley.
Nice. Now if they will do a ‘Bad Company’ game next life will be complete.
Oh my word.
If Warlord knock out some sets based upon the Simon Bisley run count me in!
I loved his Joe Pinapples.
But, this is just lovely. And I agreed Bad Company next please! If nothing else just to pay tribute to Brett Ewins
The minis look good but I’m going to give this one a miss. I went all in with Sláine and haven’t really played it that much, although the models are excellent and paint up really well.
