4Ground Makes Your Roofing A Bit More Secure In The Old West
September 12, 2015 by brennon
4Ground showed off some images of the terrain that Pulp Figures are working on for their adventures in the deepest and darkest corners of Africa but it also comes with a preview of what's ahead, Corrugated Roof Tile Add-Ons...
I particularly like the look of them when placed over the African buildings as you can see above using the Dead Man's Hand range.
It might not sound that impressive but it could give a more ramshackle look to those buildings you've been using in the Wild West and bring them into a more modern era.
The Add-On Pack should be out at the end of September so keep an eye out for them.
What do you think of Pulp Figures' work?

Those corrugated buildings and western buildings will look really good for Malifaux.
Anyone know, historically, when the corrugated metal started being produced? Could you use it in the Old West, or is too modern?
Yes you could use it in old west, or turn of the 20th century era. Not sure of dates when it came to use, but I have a ton of photos of “old west” buildings with corrugated siding/roofing in use, sometimes as patching. I think you could see some examples yourself if you look up a place called “Bodie” in the California Sierra Nevada mountains. It is a ghost town and California State Park, that they have kept in “arrested decay” for many decades. That means that they try to keep everything in the state that it was when California… Read more »
Quite familiar with Bodie, but never stopped to look at what they were using on the roofs. Bad luck to take anything from the town, no matter how small. Thanks for the info @williamwidrick 🙂
Invented in Britain in 1820 for a London Dock company.
Thank you @craddock169 🙂 . So it wouldn’t be out of place in an old west town then. I have a roll of about 50 ft. of cable insulation that is perfect for doing that sort of thing.
Still to short for WildWest Exodus 🙁
Yes but for Wild West Exodus you have ray guns and a touch of Steam Punk so I don’t think some corrugated iron will look out of place among’st flying iron horses and the like.
Clever in its simplicity! With so many systems anything that works muilti-genre has to be a good call.
Don’t forget model railroad suppliers. I have seen a lot of stuff that is double or triple the cost from “Games” suppliers. “Walthers” is a great place to start if you’re in the US. But I do believe they ship internationally. Almost any good model RR supplier will have stock of K&M metals and they produce some nice corrugated metal. I make my own in “O” and “HO” scales. If you take a thick bit of plastic card, glue some wire to it, spaced as desired for your scale, then use the throw away aluminum roasting pans and cut appropriate… Read more »
