3DAlienWorlds Measure With The Accuracy Of A Samurai
October 3, 2018 by brennon
3DAlienWorlds is bringing the war of thematic measuring devices to a head with their new Samurai Measuring Swords. Yes, you heard me right.
The Measuring Sword designs come in a variety of styles with different handle wraps. Some also have space on them so that you can add the clan logo of your choice.
Each of the swords measures six inches whilst the grip offers up another three inches to that, allowing you to mark out nine inches of movement on the tabletop.
As you can see it sits on the tabletop quite well too making is a very thematic measuring device to use in games like Test Of Honour and Kensei.
It might be a little over the top but I think stuff like this can be kind of awesome for the collector who might have everything.
It should be pointed out that these need to be 3D printed at home so you'll need to have access to a printer if you'd like to make these a reality.
What do you think of these novelty (if accurate) measuring devices?
Let me know below...

Those are some great and at same time interesting looking measuring sticks. Based on size of those things those are meant for skirmish scale games like mentioned Kensei.
They look cool but seem impractical. I’ve yet to find a better measuring tool/device than a sewing tape measure. They are cheap and flexible so you can measure around tight corners for skirmish games. The only instance a rigid construction tape measure is better for is for quickly checking long weapon ranges (anything more than you can easily reach one handed). I find measuring sticks suck in any game that uses much scenery.
Look really nice, but also incredibly impractical! You can see how awkward they’d be just from the pictures…
Samurai Titan’s ???
would make a great centerpiece on a JSA Infinity table
