28mm Ancient Indians & Camel Riders From V&V Miniatures
May 16, 2023 by brennon
V&V Miniatures have once again added to their expanding collection of 28mm resin miniatures for use in your Historical wargames. The first of these sets is the 28mm Ancient Indian Command, ready to lead armies against Alexander The Great.
Indian Command (Front) // V&V Miniatures
This set comes with two guards with their shields and spears at the ready alongside a commander with one of those stylish-looking maces. I like that the guards look very regimented in their design and then the general stands out. He has a very intense look on his face as if he is sizing up one of his opponents. You've also got the attendant with an umbrella, shading the general of your army from the heat of the sun.
Indian Command (Rear) // V&V Miniatures
As always, the miniatures from V&V are very well-detailed and should paint up really nicely. The armour detail in particular should be nice and easy to paint. I can already imagine that shimmering bronze/gold colour.
Armies Of Islam Cavalry
The second of the sets looks towards the Medieval and the Crusades but you could probably see these in other periods of warfare as well. See what you make of these Arab Camel Riders who are going to be loping into battle soon.
Arab Camel Riders // V&V Miniatures
These Camel Riders are shown on the charge, heading towards the enemy with spears at the ready. I wasn't overly sure about the thicker spear shafts but I think it helps when it comes to making sure they don't snap during transportation and gameplay. You've got a good array of poses for the riders and what looks to be three mount variants.
The V&V Miniatures range does come at a slightly higher price tag since they're resin but if you're using these to supplement a plastic army, I could see these being a solid pick. You could use the likes of their Command figures and the Camel Riders to add some statement miniatures to your army and make it stand out from others on the tabletop.
Will you be having a peek at more from V&V Miniatures?

Nice
finally a nice set of camelry
I’m not impressed we with the Indian command. I am, however, impressed by the camel riders. I may have made different decisions on my Arabian Knights. I think the detail level is what makes them stand out.
Ooh nice figures.
