1898 Miniaturas Tease What’s Next For Thirty Years’ War Range
August 9, 2023 by brennon
1898 Miniaturas already have a sterling collection of 28mm miniatures for playing out the Thirty Years' War on the tabletop. After their summer break, some new releases are going to be coming out for the French alongside some Artillery too.
Spanish Tercio Command Group // 1898 Miniaturas
The miniatures you're seeing here are already available from 1898 Miniaturas but they give you a good idea of the quality stuff that these folks are producing. Since their initial release in 2021, the range has grown with loads of miniatures for the Spanish Tercios (pictured above) alongside Cavalry options and plenty of Characters too.

The next set of releases that they have coming up will include a range of French Cavalry and Infantry. As one of the most brutal conflicts in European history, there are plenty of ways for you to take your tabletop battles. It makes sense that this team started with the Spanish but it's good to see them working towards the French now too.
The Musketeers // Adolf Alexander Lesrell
This image of the Musketeers accompanied their announcements so this makes me suitably excited to see what they do next!
We're also going to be seeing Artillery joining the mix to suit all manner of different armies. It would be neat to see what else pops up as part of this collection in the future including Swedish forces, the Danish and Norwegians and more. I bet 1898 Miniaturas could do some fun stuff there!
Will you be checking out this Thirty Years' War collection?

Cardinal Infant Ferdinand looks hauntingly similar to a local Duke we had here. Must have been all the hipp clothing. Anton-Günther, Duke of Oldenburg.
Nice models the musketeers look like a bunch of toffs sitting talking about going to war for a day like it’s a pheasant shoot.
