15mm Hornblower Shieldmaiden Cavalry Available From North Star

Mace Face Miniatures 15mm Shieldmaiden Cavalry is now available from North Star Military Figures as part of the Hornblower range.

The Hornblower range from Mace Face and North Star is a fantastic 15mm Fantasy collection that thrives on classic sword and sorcery vibes. The new Shieldmaidens for example would be right at home in a Hyborian Age of fantasy and myth. There are some great options already in the range, such as two sets of Cavalry Command miniatures, so you can mix and match the leaders of your regiments.

The Command Sets come with Champions, Hornblowers and Banner Bearers. As with the 18mm scale miniatures that we looked at last week for Hawkmoon, Mace Face puts a whole bunch of detail into their sculpts and they look absolutely fantastic.

In addition to the Command options, you can also pick up three different sets of Cavalry that come armed with Axes, Swords and Bows.

The swords and axes could be used together to create a mixed regiment, changing their position on strips and such so that you get a natural-looking group of riders. You could always go all-in on one particular set of weapons if you so desire.

The archers can then be used as a skirmishing unit in their own right, flanking around the enemy army or riding through a village and setting fire to it. Whilst I've mentioned that you could rank up a lot of these miniatures for larger games, there's no reason you can't use them for a bit of 15mm scale skirmishing.

All of these Shieldmaidens can be used alongside the on-foot versions already available from North Star Military Figures on their webstore. I can't wait to see what Mace Face has coming up next for this Fantasy Hornblower range.
