Kingdom Death Joins Forces With MERCS Minis’ Myth
April 23, 2013 by brennon
As the Myth Kickstarter comes to a close (only 15 hours remaining at the time of writing) Kingdom Death have joined forces with MERCS Minis for a final push. Check out their fantastic looking Twilight Knight Mini-Boss concept art...
Here's what they had to say...
"Myth and Kingdom Death are proud to present the Twilight Knight Mini-boss.
Kingdom Death is a nightmare horror board game with highly detailed, beautiful 35mscale miniatures. They really set the bar high for both miniatures and Kickstarters.
Early in the Kickstarter cycle Kingdom Death backed Myth. We quickly reached out to them. We knew they were busy, but hoped we might collaborate. We began to talk and decided that doing a Trickster Level and providing a Mini-boss was ideal. Keith got to work on the art transition and with the help of the Kingdom Death team fused these two amazing worlds in the solitary figure of the Twilight Knight.
As with all Mini-bosses, she will be accompanied by a stat card. However, unique to the Twilight Knight, Heroes who somehow defeat her win the cursed blade, the Twilight Sword. The only Orange item in the game at this point.
This Limited Edition miniature will be given for free to all backers at the Minion Level and above ($75).
We can't thank Adam Poots and his team enough for their generosity and effort in this relationship. They really love the hobby and are incredibly good people to know and work with."
She looks fantastic already and if the previous sculpts we've seen are anything to go by she's going to make an awesome model too. If you haven't pledged already then I suggest heading over for a final push to unlock more and more for yourself and others.
A great end to a great Kickstarter?

Thats such a good gesture on KD part.
That concept art is surprisingly tame for KD
Interesting how every new iteration of her has progressively more clothing 😛 I like the art, although she does now look like a sith.
How do you figure that?
Last i checked there are now 5 versions of the Twilight Knight and of those the first two was not only dressed almost exactly the same as this one but they where male
I’m going by the pin up –> Hell Dorado –> Myth, which shows a definite increase.
What the KD guys did was back the Myth kickstarter at the Trickster level which basically entitled them to one custom mini. But instead of keeping it for themselves they allowed that mini to be included as a public stretch goal for everybody.. which I think is actually a really great idea and a smart way to cross-promote. After all, with the exception of the Achtung! Cthulhu KS art level pledges, it is fairly rare for backers to be able to afford the “Be in the game” pledge levels which – as cool as they are – can often come… Read more »
Kingdom Death really have gotten the right idea with these crosspromotions. It really helps everybody, both companies get an extra look (and most probably sales) from each others fan bases And established companies get an excuse to support newcomers, thereby bringing a greater variety of miniatures to the gamers. I’m really hoping more companies start doing it this way. As a side note I really think the KD kickstarter have gotten a bad case of “everybody remembers the stripper” Actually the kickstarter itself was to sponsor a game in which the miniatures are no worse than the average miniature game… Read more »
nearly $900,000 with 36 mins to go!
the last stretch goal is a Dragon with 10 cards. 😀
Yup, we done it 🙂 all stretch goals complete. I hope that the game is a little harder to complete 😛 hehe
It ought to be now we have a dragon to fight 🙂
Well that was a great ride of a Kickstarter and we hit 26 stretch goals on the way to almost $1,000,000. Jan 2014 can not come soon enough, based on the amount of models we are getting I’ll still be painting it well into 2015.
