Deadpool Movie Officially Set For 2016 Release!
September 19, 2014 by brennon
In the wake of the cool test footage we saw for a Deadpool movie the reception across the internet has been positive. The want to see the foul mouthed assassin on screen is strong it seems and so 20th Century Fox have said 'lets do it' and they've set the release as February 12th 2016!
Ryan Reynolds talked about the test footage recently and was happy with the way it had gone down with fans and non-fans alike. It certainly shows how powerful social media can be and it's quite the modern gauge of popular opinion. You can watch the footage for yourself above - Warning: Strong Language!
Let's hope the movie makes it to 2016 without anymore problems.
Can you see this being a good film?
Deadpool movie YAY! Ryan Reynolds WRETCH 🙁
I think he’ll do a good job of it actually. He hasn’t had the best track record but his recent work in comedies and such has been fairly good.
BoW Ben
If its just mostly Ryan’s voice we’ll hear then I suppose not even he could mess that up. I’d have liked Adrian Brody though.
Adrien Brody? They’d have a tough time hiding his big nose in that maske, lol!
*mask. Lol. 😀
I always liked Reynolds actually. I think he brings something ‘real’ to his acting in contrast to some other actors.
best news eva 😀
… so … if Deadpool is already aware that he’s a character in a comic book,
does this mean he will also be aware that he is a character in a movie
… that’s based on a character in a comic book (O ,o) ??
… and therefore also know he is being played by Ryan Reynolds (@ , @) ???
leading to a now “triple” split personality disorder (X ~ X)
… this would blow up most people’s mind normally,
but I already think his brain’s to fragmented to make it any worse 😉 ha ha
Looks interesting. I don’t read comics so all these super hero/uber hero/leather-latex fetishists are all new to me.
I Ryan Reynolds the one in the silly Hugo Boss ads (black shirt/white shirt?)
the whole talking to the audience thing with Deadpool is a bit confusing because he is a bit crazy and he kinda thins he’s on TV or a hero in a comic book but he’s not meant to be right he’s meant to be mad, batshit crazy, the fact that were reading his comic book is kinda a coincidence. He thinks he’s a hero when he’s a murderer most of the time, his ethics are all out of whack but sometimes he ends up doing a lot of good,
This is amazing! Ryan is the best person for this role. I really hope they invest in some good script writing and allow the Deadpool persona to really be crazy.
Social media is also responsible for Snakes on a Plane getting the green light
love in it love in it love in it
I can not wait for this one!!!
Would love to see this; but it’s been said officially that it is going to be a PG-13. So therefore a family friendly film, so none of the DeadPool violence we know form the comics, going to be toned down and terrible.
My daughter loves Deadpool, but it leaves me kinda cold.
I just can’t get into characters that were introduced after I quit actively following comics.
