Aquaman Appears for the DC Movies

The first image for DC Cinema's Aquaman, being played by Jason Momoa, has appeared on Zack Snyder's Twitter feed. Check out the new King of the Seven Seas!
Jason Momoa, who is perhaps most recognisable as Khal Drogo from Game of Thrones, is looking especially bad ass in this image. This isn't the orange and green clad Aquaman many would be familiar with. It looks like the costume draws upon his look from the 90s.
Aquaman is a character who has been much maligned, mostly due to his portrayal in the Silver Age of comic history. However, Jason Momoa definitely looks like he is going to bring the character back to the attention of popular culture.
Of particular note are the Polynesian style tattoos he is sporting. Having Atlantis based upon Polynesian culture is an interpretation we haven't really seen before and should mean we will get to explore a fascinating society when it appears on the big screen.
Jason Momoa's Aquaman will be making his first appearance in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice. What do you think of him?

it’s really underwhelming. The costume layout is ok, I guess, but I wanted more of the actual colour pallet from the comic book character.
I can totaly see Jason Momoa as 90’s style Aquaman. It’s great that this underrated and joked about character is getting chance. Maybe it has something to do with how awesome he is in fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us.
I don’t think they would have got away with the green and orange so it’s a thumbs up from me
Although at a better look it still has those colours but I still like it
I liked him on stargate.
Oh… oh my…
As a side note, Jason Momoa does sport this kind of tattoo himself (although not as much as this, last time I checked)…
Is something wrong with his eyes? I don’t mean to be inflammatory here it just seems like maybe the actor is looking at something at a very different range than the camera and ends up looking a bit vacant as a result.
Didn’t know Aquaman was a Maori warrior.
Is it just me that sees movie adaptations take colourful characters (costume colours and personality) and just makes them dark, brooding and all the same? We shall see how this turns out.
