It's finally time to take a look at some of the new miniatures that Battlefront Miniatures are releasing for World War III: Team Yankee.
John is joined in the studio by Chris from Battlefront Miniatures to get a close look at the new kit being brought out for Team Yankee. One of the most exciting models is of course the Challenger tank for the British forces. Resplendent in a couple of versions with different armour plating, this is certainly one of the must haves from the new range.
What do you think was the best tank of the Cold War era?

On “looks” my favourite cold war tanks are T-55 for the Soviets (the T-72 looks like a T-55 that someone has sat on), and for NATO the M-60. Alas the later tanks M1/Challenger and particularly the Leopard 2s look like they were built out of lego (there’s no smooth curves, and everything is blocky). For many years up until the 80s these two tanks were the workhorse of the cold war armies, and were also in the field when WW3 was most likely to kick off in Europe. Still has to be the T34/85
I would say. M60A3 with reactive armor, centurion with 105mm, leopard 1 with Canadian version with angular turret and last but not least, the chieftain
next batch is leopard 2 followed by M1A1 with 120mm and then challenger mk 1
honorable mention. Type 61 in Japanese service…M551 Sheridan and Swedish S tank….scorpion if I get 4
M48 decked out for Vietnam and Korean war Easy eight and pershing with Dragon face – can’t go wrong.

academy award goes to t55 or ti67 tiran due to its starring role in the film. “the beast”

So happy to see the way Battlefront has taken.. love te tanks and I hope John you got the green light for showing us much more about the interesting conflict
Curse you Jon Lyons, I have gone and pre-ordered the British. I need to retire to paint everything sitting in pending projects.
Enjoyed all the World War III videos so far. looks like my Project will need an update.
The warrior was/is an awesome piece of kit, it was a massive leap forwad from the 432. It was like all our Christmases had come at once when the first ones were delivered to my unit.
Anyone building a Gulf War era M109 battery for the Brits, we used the 50 cal machine gun and not the GPMG out in the Gulf War.
