Wittman & Balthasar Woll Coming Soon From Rubicon Models
October 17, 2016 by brennon
If you're a fan of famous tankers then you might want to take a look at what Rubicon Models have planned for you as they teased Wittman & Balthasar Woll for use in your World War II games.
Wittman, nicknamed The Black Baron, was a tank ace was a deadly force to be reckoned with inside his Tiger tank. Balthasar 'Bobby' Woll also fought alongside Wittman, his tank commander, and earned a Knight's Cross of the Iron Cross for his efforts in the war.
The models you see above are based on some of the propaganda images used by the Germans during the war.
Both of them were fascinating individuals but Wittman somewhat overshadows Woll when it comes to his fame and cult status. Either way, they'd make for fun models to use as part of a diorama.
Would you pick up these more 'relaxed' miniatures for a project?

Having advantages both in firepower and in armor, Tiger I was “nearly invulnerable in a frontal engagement” against any of the Soviet tanks of that time, and Wittmann thus could destroy opposing tanks from a safe distance.[60] Zaloga concludes: “Most… Read more »
