WarTime Miniatures Work On Modern Warfare Soldiers
December 7, 2015 by brennon
WarTime Miniatures have shown off some preview renders of upcoming Special Forces miniatures based on the kit of Australian Soldiers. These will be available in both 20mm and 28mm scale early in 2016...
They have gone to a lot of effort to make sure that the weapons and kit that these soldiers are using is as appropriate as possible and they continue to take feedback from the community.
They have been working on a lot of different poses for the regular soldiers with their assault rifles. You can see a variety of different stances with some kneeling and others on the run. These would be great for games like Spec Ops from Osprey.
The team at WarTime Miniatures are also working on a range of different support weapon options so hopefully we'll be seeing some machine guns, sniper rifles and heavy weapons for use in the field.
As mentioned above; these miniatures won't be out until 2016 but they are looking good!
What do you think?

They look great! Especially in 20mm (God’s own scale!)
…gimme, gimme, gimme! SASR here we come.
Well hello there Foxtrot ranger proxies. (Hopefully in right scale, at least the heads)
Nice.
If they can find a UK distributor I might get a pack to check them out.
They should be alright for UK special forces as well shouldn’t they?

I really can’t fathom why nobody has released some (more or less) generic 28mm hard plastic multipose modern soldiers yet…!!
…
*gets the your guns are wrong soapbox*
The receivers on the M4s are actually nicely proportioned to the hands, but the magazines are a tiny bit too big, the dust covers are closed even on the poses were they’re firing, and that M203 grenade launcher is tiny- it should hang below the magazine well noticeably, its almost like it’s the 20mm scale version while the rest is 28.
like.
…come on – try a bit harder!
