Warlord Games Fire Up Pre-Orders For New D-Day Supplement

Warlord Games have now fired up pre-orders for their next Bolt Action supplement which allows you to play out the D-Day (and beyond) exploits of the British & Canadian Sectors during World War II.
D-Day British & Canadian Sectors Supplement // Bolt Action
Find Bolt Action Miniatures @ Store.OnTableTop
This new supplement will follow the British & Canadian efforts alongside the rest of the Commonwealth as they battled off Gold, Juno and Sword beach. You'll be able to get stuck into scenarios which recreate the action of coastal town clashes and the eventual battle through to the vital city of Caen.
As with all of the pre-orders from Warlord Games you'll be able to get your hand on a special miniature. This time around it's CSM Stanley Hollis VC..
"Stanley Hollis received the highly prestigious Victoria Cross for his actions on D-Day - a distinction not bestowed to any other British or Commonwealth soldier for their actions in that day. Along with his company commander he was charged with investigating two German pillboxes that had been bypassed during the push up the beaches, from the first, he took all but five of the occupants prisoner, and through a combination of the use of his STEM gun and grenades forced the capture of twenty-six more Germans from the second. Later that very same day, he led an attack against a German field gun, though unsuccessfully. In the retreat, realised that two of his men had been left behind. With no regard for his own safety, he went forward alone, a diversion allowing his men back to retreat safely. He displayed the utmost gallantry and saved the lives of many of his men."
A very impressive individual and a great option for those looking to recreate a scenario like this on the tabletop. Sometimes fact is much more impressive than fiction.
Build Your Bolt Action Armies
To support the book the folks at Warlord Games have made some new packs for both the Allies and the Axis. This is by no means the full breadth of their offerings but they give you an idea of what they have.
British Army Pre-Order Bundle // Bolt Action
Both of these options plus loads more can be picked up from the Warlord Games Webstore. So, if these catch your eye but you want to see what else they have then make sure to dive in further.
12th SS Hitlerjugend Pre-Order Bundle // Bolt Action
Bolt Action is still a game that I absolutely loved playing and would be happy to return to. I like the way that the rules flow and the miniatures are always fun to pick up and tinker with. Whenever I see smaller packs like this I think it would be fun to dive back in, pick up some of their plastic miniatures and play out some smaller skirmishes with a handful of World War II soldiers.
Are you tempted to dive back into Bolt Action like me?
"I think it would be fun to dive back in, pick up some of their plastic miniatures and play out some smaller skirmishes with a handful of World War II soldiers..."
I’m always drawn to the British during WW2 period games so this is a great addition along with Stanley Hollis mini to add that essential element of Gallantry all good British forces require
Indeed – I do like their promo miniatures with a little story behind them 🙂
Yes, us Canucks get to game some of the battles we fought in. I am glad this is coming out. I hope some of the famous battles are covered….Capriqat, Bayeux, etc.
Oh yes please. My Brits will enjoy that
lovin the DD-tank.
I wish they would redo their British Infantry plastic kits. Its about time.
