Wargames Illustrated Get A Sneak Peek At New Project Z Soldiers
February 3, 2016 by brennon
Wargames Illustrated have got a look at the new soldiers that you'll be able to make for use in your games of Project Z by Warlord Games. These are sculpted and produced by Wargames Factory who entered into a deal with Warlord not long ago...
The kits have been tweaked with the help of Warlord Games to include more legs and bodies allowing you to create more soldiers. You have all manner of modern troops available to you as well including Russians and British soldiers.
As noted above these are really for use in Project Z but you could very much drop these into your modern military games; the likes of Black Ops, Spectre's new game and more. Big plastic kits like these make entry levels to those games drop dramatically.
In addition the mass of options available to you then adds a level of customisation that metal models don't offer. I can see these being picked up by a lot of people at Salute (which is when they will be available) and then metal miniatures becoming key hero characters within squads.
What do you think of the sprues?

Looks like a definite purchase at salute, nice looking figures and a good selection of modern weapons.
Oh my goodness they are soooooooo pleasant. I take it these are 28mm and I can see some modern armoured kit being the choice transport.
Personally I think this is a dream come true. That’s gonna be my first stop and purchase at Salute. Straight to the Perry stall after..
Ha balaklava, RPG and a LSW crow cannon, go back and get a proper weapon. Nice models though.
would be good to play some games set before everything were completely screwed zombie wise?
That’s a great kit. So much options that you get lost in it all.
Lots of variety of weapons in this set . I think it could use a few more figures though , a 6 or 8 man squad would be better IMO . Might be easy to cross kit this set with BA plastic Brits , it should be simple to modernize their uniforms somewhat with plastic card and Green Stuff .
