Wargames Atlantic’s Riflemen & Resistance Now Available
March 8, 2021 by brennon
Wargames Atlantic has now released two new plastic sets for everyone to snap up on their webstore. The British Riflemen and Partisans/French Resistance are now available for you to pick up and drop into Napoleonic and World War II wargames.
British Riflemen Box // Wargames Atlantic
The first set we're going to be looking at is for the British Riflemen which comes with thirty-two fantastic looking miniatures for those building a Sharpe-tastic army. The sculpting for this set is by Thieu Duong and the fantastic painting on these studio models is by Matthew Leahy.
Battling from Spain to the fields of Waterloo, these British Riflemen should be fit to cover all manner of different battles during the Napoleonic War. Many of them are armed with Baker Rifles but you'll also find a Volley Gun in the mix as well.

The miniatures can be posed in a variety of ways too with some kneeling and firing whilst others can be reloading, running or getting ready to club someone around the head with the butt of their rifle. Whilst I am all on board for them to become members of a larger army, I can't help but feel like this might be the perfect set to dip into for Osprey's upcoming The Silver Bayonet.
Resisting The Occupiers
As well as the British Riflemen we've also got a set of Partisans/French Resistance which can be used during the conflicts of the early 1900s.
Partisans & French Resistance Box // Wargames Atlantic
This set, again, comes with thirty-two miniatures for you to tinker with who. All of them are armed with looted rifles, pistols, sub-machine guns and more that they have managed to sneak away from their oppressors.

Again, the sculpting is by Thieu Duong and shows off a variety of the brave souls who gave everything they had in order to stick it to the Axis and other invading armies. This seems like the perfect set for you to snap up if you wanted to play more intimate games of Bolt Action set amongst the winding streets of Paris.
They could work very well as a force of their own or you could maybe add them in alongside your Allied force as supporters who have broken their cover in order to help.
With these sets now out in the wild, it will soon be time to make way for more Ancient miniatures!

Great looking plastic riflemen. The resistance fighters are a handy set too, lots of potential to fit a number of games and periods. Top work again by Wargames Atlantic.
Ooh nice did the chosen men ever have 32men in the unit? 15 is more the size ide say.
15?!! I always thought they had five and they ran round the back of the camera
Lol
Ooh I’m loving the French Resistance box, though it would have been great to have some female bodies.
They are probably working on a box of them right now, which is good thing given the proportion and height differences between the average woman and man, they need separate sprues its like an “as God intended” thing.
I’m pretty sure the upcoming Partisans (II) is the female box – really looking forward to it!
Damn. I forgot these and bought a ton of the Warlord Games resistance. Always room for more I guess.
There’s ALWAYS room for Wargames Atlantic stuff!
That is very true.
Any consolation I should imagine they’d mix in rather well
I was just thinking the other day about buying some Green Jackets for the upcoming Joseph Mccullough game. Monster hunting riflemen would be cool.
Already got my order in for the resistance fighters (amongst others hehe). Got a project in mind for the 1948 Arab Israeli war – using these chaps as Palmach/Haganah fighters with some kitbashed WW2 kits for some of the more regularly equipped Israelis and the Arab Legion
