New Waffen-SS Plastic Set Pre-Orders Up For Bolt Action
September 23, 2017 by brennon
Warlord Games have put up another plastic set for you to get stuck into as they open pre-orders for the Waffen-SS kit, a great Bolt Action bolsterer.
The kit comes with ways for you to create thirty different soldiers to use as one of these Grenadier squads on the tabletop. You could also probably do some mixing and matching with other kits as well, especially for Late War gaming.
Armed to the teeth with some of the best weapons and incredibly well trained for their battlefield role the Waffen-SS were no pushover and a deadly adversary for the Allies to face.
Equipment included within the set amounts to an STG44 assault rifle, Kar 98K rifle, MG42 light machine gun, MP40 sub-machine gun, Gewehr 43 rifle, stick grenades, Panzerfaust, field glasses and a broom-handled Mauser pistol!
You have some nice options for builds here and you can even upgrade it into a full-on Waffen-SS army if you wanted.
Will you be getting one of these sets?

Warlord continue to impress with the quality and value of their plastic minis
Those are really nice.
If BA was to get some love at my flgc, the SS would be my army of choice.
and,…and they have fez’s in case you fancy making your Handschar, how awesome is that.
nice.
I doubt it will happen, but I’d REALLY like to see Warlord remaster the basic infantry similar to the newer models (with arms and guns cast together). The Airbourne were easy to build, but the older ones (with separate weapons, where you need to do things like cut the trigger guards off to get them to fit) are a pain in the neck.
Warlord have moved forwards leaps and bounds with the last few sets. Be nice to see what gamers come up with by mixing in the models from the other sets as well 🙂
The officer in the box art is wearing a more politically correct Heer peaked cap..
I’ll certainly fancy painting a few of those!
Although I’ve actually preferred the more multi part figures as this allowed for easy and fun conversions. Well, let’s hope Warlord isn’t going all the GW way and we end up with ‘multi part’ plastics where there is only one way to build a mini and conversions are as not with the hassle.
