Looking good guys, very excited to see what the tables look like 🙂
I’ve been looking to make fencing for a industrial style Batman board, a hobby lab on just that subject would be perfect. What sort of mesh is that you’re using?
The best stuff to use and it looks like the same stuff the lads are using is car body repair mesh…looks great and dirt cheap
I’ve not been a back-stager long, certainly it’s no more than 2 months – but when you see what’s going on and what is coming up the couple of quid a month is an absolute no brainer!
looking good. cant wait to try out the tables 🙂
Yay! Hobby Lab is returning!
I can’t watch these, the pain of not being able to get to the Infinity Bootcamp is too much.
Someone get Kristian a back brace; he’s going to need with that painting hunch he’s adopted.
Posture! Posture! young man. The bill’s going to come due sooner than you think.
😛 such a large project and its hard to move about the table so i have had to adopt tons of weird and wonderful positions to paint all the angles
Glad to here the updates. I par took (That doesn’t sound right) in the 2015 Wild West exodus kickstarter. As I am now committed to learning it will be wonderful to learn more about this game through the beasts.
sounds like a very nice range of tables.
Awesome BoW looking forward to the next few weeks.
Having a theme across a series of tables should work well. It would be great to see a Mos Eisley style Haqqislam table going from spaceport to palace with some slums and other dwellings on the way.
Any ideas for spaceships ?
I’ve been using the largest of the Spartan Scenics ships as part of my Infinity board
A few suggestions
Repaint one of these Guardians of the Galaxy toys

LIkewise a repainted Avengers Quinjet

or

Basically raid the local toystore/charity shop and see what interesting vehicles you can find.
Here’s a table with some repainted examples

I’m a big fan of the Revell clone gunship kits being repainted and used in 28mm games.

Looks alright (if I do say so myself) even with my dodgy paintjob.
Its closer to 1/72 scale so It’s a bit thin but it’s long enough for the job……… 😉
I’ve seen someone repaint a Guardians of the Galaxy toy Milano and used that as well, and that looked awesome. (He said they were going cheap in an Irish tesco extra too)
There have been quite a few people using the quinjet, form the avengers movie toy line, for infinity recently.
It looks pretty good once it is painted up and on the table.
It is pretty cheap too, ~$20US
That’s always the tricky part as 28mm ships are hard to find.
Maybe just some transport flyers like the Antenociti City Hopper or similar and a loading bay instead?
Unless you have some Start Wars stuff you can repurpose…
But thematically some sort of industrial/trade bit leading through to a slum/market/residential bit through to a palace could make for some nice progression across a few tables and tell more of a story.
Haqqislam ports could have heavily-guarded Silk shipments, or you could probably do something interesting with a futuristic take on camel trains.
I’m liking the three planet concept for the tables.
Great to see/hear about upcoming to Hobby Labs, I’ve missed it.
The WWX shows sound good to me went rather large on their last kickstarter after your themed week, now I can get some more tips/info before it all arrives.
Woo, more hobby lab 😉 about time, the hobby lab itch was getting unbearable lol
Not for me, but the WWX intro looks amazing Lloyd, great job. Thanks also for the BA coverage gang, really enjoyed it. Wish I could have been there but airfare from Arizona is obscene. Maybe someday. I have a sister in law purchasing a summer home in Northern Ireland soon. Anyway, thanks for the VLOG, always enjoy them, and the Infinity boot camp will be eagerly awaited.
I really like the three planets idea.
Looking forward to seeing what you do.
I imagine you will be having a few roads in this scenery and wondered if you had given the anti slip tape a go. Its something we use when making our club boards and we go for the 100mm (4 inch) stuff as it makes for a good size road and all you have to do is peel and stick and the road is done. There are sometimes different grades available as well so you can have a smooth tarmac effect or a rough one and although the cost seems a lot at first glance you will get 60 ft… Read more »
I said it before and Ill say it again. Im genuinely upset that I can’t come to something like the bootcamps especially the Infinity one (which Im trying to learn).
Can’t wait to see what comes together.
Err, I’m not sure but I think that forest table at 2:20 may be a bit dense on terrain even for Infinity 😛
This is one of the more exciting boot camps for me as although I don’t play Infinity, the terrain for it is always spectacular. Can’t wait to see what you guys do for it.
Return of Hobby Lab is awesome news too.
You’re really stepping up those tables, can’t wait to see them all done. Good luck with the builds, sounds like John’s got a lot of building painting ahead of him 😀
Love to see your Exploring Exodus stuff come to life as I backed the 2nd KS on the back of your video play-through.
This will be really tough to fill these tables with a minimum Terrain.
Or this will become a turkey shoting.
Yay for running jokes!! I think every vlog should start out with Lloyd standing at the sink with a vaguely annoyed expression, going “Really?! Now?” 😀
Love seeing the backstage stuff!
