Victrix Release Their 12mm World War II Universal Carriers
July 29, 2024 by brennon
Victrix has released another new 12mm scale plastic set for use in your World War II wargames. This time, it's the Universal Carriers pack for the Allies which comes with a whole bunch of different weapon options for you to choose from.
12mm Allied Universal Carrier // Victrix
The set comes with options for building your crew as if they are fighting in the desert or across the muddy fields of Europe. There are six of them in the set so you could always go half and half or do them all in the same scheme to suit your preferred theatre of war.
Universal Carriers Desert Variant // Victrix
On the weaponry side of things, you can build them as regular Universal Carriers but you can also slot on British (and Canadian) Flamethrowers, Mortars, a 50.cal, Piat, Anti-Tank Rifle, Vickers and also a FOO variant.
Universal Carriers European Variant // Victrix
The set also comes with ninety different crew options with drivers, co-drivers, loaders, operators, observers, regular crew in the middle of being transported and also other crew members firing their weapons. That gives you a lot of options for making useful Universal Carriers to slot into your armies.
Could you be tempted by this new 12mm plastic set?

Not only the carriers, but Victrix also have a pre-order up for heads and stuff upgrades for their medieval knights – Teutonic heads! Plus fantasy heads.
Bit cheeky, they’ve put up the price for these to £30 AND they are teeny tiny miniatures (not much bigger than a jeep) especially when you realise you can buy 6 GREAT BIG Tiger Is for £25. I would have expected this release to either have more teeny tiny miniatures in the bag OR for the bag to actually be cheaper 🙁
From their email “there are 90 crew figures covering Desert and European options”. How many of those you actually get to use at once is another matter. Still if you’re into 12mm converting your bits box will thrive ?
Right, this 12mm scale Victrix are giving to all the world war 2 stuff they are bringing out, are the figures 12mm to 14mm or 10mm to 12mm?, this scale has really grabbed me.
Well if Warlord were doing the measurement they would be 13.5mm 😀
They are N scale, 12mm. I have quite a lot of the WW2 ranges. Very nice figures, all the way round. I would really like for Victrix to do some earlier WW2, especially for Eastern Front, but I have lots to paint so far anyway!
