Victrix Preview Late War Germans For 28mm World War II Wargames
November 26, 2024 by brennon
Victrix Miniatures are getting closer to releasing their first 28mm World War II miniatures in plastic. The Late War Germans will be first out of the block with Infantry and Heavy Weapons for making up the core of your Axis army.
Late War German Infantry // Victrix Miniatures
The folks from Victrix have properly pushed the boat out with these new miniatures including a whole bunch of poses and plenty of different weapons so you can make dynamic squads for your wargames. There will be enough figures in the set for you to make a full Rifle Platoon and more besides.
Late War German Infantry // Victrix Miniatures
You can make your regular German Infantry with their rifles and the classic MP40 and STG 44. You will also get parts for making NCOs, Officers and Radio Operators for building command elements.
Late War German Infantry // Victrix Miniatures
As well as the basic Infantry, you'll also be able to make the likes of Snipers, Medics, Ammo Carriers, and Rifle Grenade users and there are also going to be binoculars for those who want to make observers for artillery and companions for the aforementioned Snipers.
Late War German Heads // Victrix Miniatures
You can also add some classic German Heavy Weapons into the mix for holding defensive lines and taking down Allied armour.
Late War German Machine Gun // Victrix Miniatures
Options will include the likes of the MG42 with a tripod, 80mm Mortars, Panzerschreck, Panzerfausts and more. I think all of these sets look fantastic and because of the nature of the Victrix kits, you can do some great tinkering to make dynamic weapon teams for your skirmish wargames.
Late War German Panzerschreck // Victrix Miniatures
I really like the look of what Victrix is doing here and I can see these being snapped up for use in V For Victory and Bolt Action to name just two games. The idea is that the set will feature forty-four miniatures and should be released in the new year.
Late War German Heavy Weapons // Victrix Miniatures
All of the miniatures are in 28mm scale and should match with the likes of Bolt Action. So, if you're seeking to get into the new edition of the game, this should give you a fairly solid starting point. You'd just need a few armoured elements and you'd be good to go for standard games.
What do you make of Victrix's Late War Germans?

These crush Bolt Action. Crush.
The mags on the STG 44s look a little large but aside from that, very nice. How do Victrix figures compare size wise with Warlord figures ? Always nice to have more plastics for kit bashing foder
According to Victrix’s post about this on social media, they should scale well with the Warlord plastic range.
Might be an idea to grab a few various German sprues from Warlord while they’re still on sale . Any idea of a release date ?
These look excellent and I will be buying a couple boxes/bags of these models when they come out.
Fantastic set, fantastic options.
Plastic mortars!
I just love the quality and detail of Victrix, no matter the era.
Hopefully these Germans will be successful enough to encourage Victrix to expand this range.
This looks a very promising set, apparently they will scale well with warlord so i expect these to be very popular. The addition of the heavy weapons in plastic is fantastic to see.
I’m curious to see where they go with this WWII range, it appears they have gone for the safe ground of late WWII in Europe but will they tackle, the easter front and soviets or roll out the allies with some British and US troops. I’d actually love to see the soviets get some love as the existing Warlord Kit is getting dated.
I have a couple of boxes of Waffen SS, it might be interesting to kitbash those with these…I see a project in my future
