Follow The US Troops Off The Beach In Bolt Action Supplement

Warlord Games is now taking pre-orders for their new D-Day: The US Sector Bolt Action campaign book. This takes you deeper into the experiences of the troops as they battled off the beaches and further into France during World War II.
D-Day: US Sector Supplement // Bolt Action
This new book focuses on the conflicts of the US Sector in 1944 and will allow you to recreate the action from Carentan through to the assault on Fort Monterey. As well as following the US troops, you'll also be able to bring in the other Allied forces including the SAS, RAF Regiments and German Belligerents.
You play this out through twelve scenarios which allow you to play around with interesting unit choices. I do like the idea of playing through a mapped-out campaign where each battle feels like it leads into the next and shows off the connected story of the invasion.
As with other pre-orders, this supplement also comes with a special miniature for Robert Capa.
Robert Capa // Bolt Action
Robert Capa // Bolt Action
Robert Capa was a Hungarian-America photographer who is generally considered to be one of the greatest combat and adventure photographers in history. Capa was there during the landings and took what would be known as The Magnificent Eleven; images of the US soldiers fighting their way off the beaches.
Capa has quite a fascinating life and he found himself embroiled in all manner of different conflicts throughout his life. If you're interested in learning more about him then you can check out his Wikipedia entry.
Are you tempted to snap up this new book?
"...will allow you to recreate the action from Carentan through to the assault on Fort Monterey"
Would be nice if Capa had a special rule that came with the figure.
he may do, other notable combatants have entries in the appropriate books, like Christopher Lee in the Western Desert book.
@ludovic and @avernos there is a special rule for cameramen/war correspondents. It’s in one of the earlier campaign books. Possibly Battle for Europe.
I have Brits for 1944 so don’t need this. Definitely want one though.
Do they have any battles for the cherbourg peninsula.?
I buy all their books : D
They are fun reads and I like it a lot to look how they translate historical miments into scenarios.
