Way back 14 or so years ago, there was a small games company called Iron Ivan Games that created a squad-based WWII miniatures rules set called Disposable Heroes.

Well sadly that company no longer exists and all the company's assets have been taken over by Brigade Games. Not wanting a good thing to lie dormant they decided to give the rules a fresh update and make them available to the masses once again with their Kickstarter, Disposable Heroes II.

The game is designed for 15-28mm miniatures and scaled lengths of 50 to 100 yards, so this becomes a squad to platoon sized game. They have refined many of the rules and nuances that made this ruleset stand out from others.

From the way they adjusted the alternating activations to allow for those times when the commander has to "push" his troops through, meaning they do more than one activation at a time.

The weapons and equipment have been updated and adjusted to all for a better gaming experience. There is quite a detailed list and description over on their Kickstarter page. If this sounds like something that might interest you then why not jump on over there and take a look for yourself.

I for one am a sucker for rule sets and I will be grabbing this one as well.

Have you played Disposable Heroes?
