Tiny Terrain Models Release War In Chechnya Miniatures
August 13, 2018 by brennon
Previously brought to life via Kickstarter, Tiny Terrain Models has now released a set of troops for use in the War In Chechnya. You will be able to snap up both Soviet and Chechen models to play out these conflicts.
The collection offers up a range of both professional soldiers and rebels which can be used in your Modern Warfare era games on the tabletop. They come armed with a selection of different weapons from standard rifles through to sniper rifles and heavy machine guns.
The clash of identities between the two different forces is interesting to see and you get a real sense of an underdog going up against a powerful foe. You could imagine the Chechen soldiers fighting in a more hit and run style, trying to ambush the Soviets as they go about their patrols.
Each side seems like it is filled with grizzled veterans from a very different theatre of war. This certainly makes a change from the Middle-Eastern frontier we've been seeing in games recently.
What do you think?

Sorry, but there is mistake in review. Soviet Union collapsed in 1991, the first Chechen war began in 1994… so this is a conflict between Chechen separatists and Russian troops.
Yup, Federal forces is a more apt description. Nice minis!
Having backed the KS and painted the whole range I can vouch for the quality of the sculpts! They really do ooze character and are of use for all sorts of Eastern European conflicts. A second KS is planned for September and I’ll certainly be backing again!!
nice figures.
Very welcome addition to modern warfare skirmishes! I didn’t know the company yet but have it on my list from now on. For future releases I would like to see more figures which stand less at ease. Especially the Russian soldiers rather look like being on patrol. Nevertheless, nice minis!
