The Italians of Warlord Games' Bolt Action have got themselves three new vehicles to use on the tabletop. There should be some handy options here amongst these World War II vehicles. Well, especially if you need some cover!

The first of these vehicles is the Breda 61 Prime Mover which actually a German SsKfz 7 that was manufactured by the Italians. This version of the vehicle was different from the German one because it had right-hand drive. As you have probably guessed by the name, the primary function of this vehicle was to move things from point A to point B.
Moving on to something that has a little bit more oomph to it, we have the Semovente L.40 47/32 Self-Propelled Gun.

This was a tank-hunter that could work as a way of waylaying enemy armour before something bigger and tougher could come along. It featured the Elefantino Anti-Tank Gun on its chassis and was both mobile and capable. Serving from 1942 through to 1945, the Semovente did have one pretty big drawback. The open-topped nature of the vehicle made it a bit hairy to ride around in!
Last but not least, we have another piece of terrain as much as it is a vehicle to use in your games. The Fiat 626 Medium Truck.
Fiat 626 Medium Truck // Bolt Action
A workhorse of the Italian army. More than 10000 of these had made it off the production line and found themselves drafted into service with the Bulgarians, French and Germans. You could use this as the target that your Allies need to take down in an ambush, or just have a few of them dotted around to show a haulage yard perhaps that is being infiltrated.
All of these vehicles come as a mixture of resin and metal pieces and each pack also features statistic cards and damage markers. They are going to get blown up after all.
Are you tempted to snap these up?

No big hitters jump to mind when the Italian’s are mentioned.
Good models all the same.
Sorry for the price Warlord are charging these don’t look good (although not sure if it’s down to the paintjob). If you wander over to the Perry’s website and look at their Italian range (Blitzkrieg Miniatures range), you’ll see LOADS of Italian softskins and smaller tanks (some of which look basically WEIRD). But the Perry offerings are coming in at up to 2/3rds of the price Warlord are currently charging and they’ve got more detail and more “straight lines”. Warlord have gotten a bit expensive since they moved their HQ/Office, now I’ll not bash them for trying to make a… Read more »
