Start Your Bolt Action Experience with Assault on Normandy

Bolt Action is out in the wargaming wilds now, but what about if you don't know where to start? Well, Warlord Games have you covered there with their new starter set, Assault on Normandy...
Assault on Normandy contains forty plastic troops. Twenty for the Americans and Twenty for the Germans. It also has all the dice, bases and terrain you need to start a little conflict of your own. It even has that rather glossy hardback rulebook!
This should be a great starting point for an army from either side of the conflict, and can be built up from the skirmish level to a massive army later on.
Will you be picking this up in November?
Looks like a pretty good deal for someone just wanting to get started.
I’m waiting to hear some reports on the game and I’ll probably be going for the Book & Dice deal myself.
I really like the idea of a starter set for Bolt Action as I have been thinking of taking it up as I like real war events and the feeling of the near present. However, I will wait to see if it is discounted somewhere before buying, as £60 is a lot for 40 basic figs imho. It would be worth it if I LOVE the game but as I do not know yet I am a bit apprehensive at this price. Really hope it works though as I love the 28mm and 32mm figures A LOT more than 15mm… Read more »
guess no answers then 🙁
I suppose because they went for the Normandy operation and also that it is so much in the past with so much tub thumping by the American film industry that people think no other allied troops were involved. But then Warlord are producing the first supplements on these two armies for the game so it makes sense in that respect. The range is really comprehensive actually and also covers the Pacific conflict which is what got my attention.
