Spectre Miniatures Call In Russian Mercenaries
September 28, 2015 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures have another teaser for you for upcoming Russian miniatures. It looks like they might be going undercover or calling in some independent 'contractors' to deal with problems behind the scenes on the battlefield.
Modern military wargaming is becoming more and more interesting as a prospect and I like the idea of covering both the big battlefield engagements and what goes on behind the scenes in the shadows.
I could see there being an interesting scenario put together where you have these Russians trying to hunt down a spy amidst a massive crowd of 'NPC' type miniatures on the tabletop so they don't know where they're going to be struck at from.
Some great models here Spectre!

Those look rather neat.
Lots of uses for these guys.
“Big battles” for 28mm modern infantry, thats a laugh, to my knowledge it is all skirmish warfare.
…then, Sir, you lack knowledge!
Say what? I know that some of the newer stuff I have seen (Skirmish Sangin for example) may be skirmish, but that isn’t the limit.
Force-on-Force has rules for ‘mobs’ – they even have a ‘Blackhawk Down’ style supplement for those types of games. I play modern games in 20mm so there is plenty of room for mobs – they even have rules for zombies!
The rules are designed for any scale, so you are limited only by the size of your collection or table.
Spectre just get better and better. The poses are wonderful.
Not my scale (yet), but i’ll get there – a bit slow at painting and building at the minute. Still no VSS guys – come on and make an old soldier very happy! Just one.
