Scibor Update Their First Historical Figure
February 24, 2012 by brennon
You may remember not long ago we took a look at a Boy Soldier model, a very different look and theme to what we were used to from Scibor Miniatures. Well here is the updated Boy Soldier from the Warsaw Uprising.
I think so far this is a great improvement. The boy looks young now compared to just being a smaller adult like before and its closer to the original photograph too. Will be fantastic to see this finished off and painted up.
Do you like the improvement?

Those are starting to look good.
It must be hard to do a model based on 1 photo. You only get one point of view and must guess the rest as close as you can. This is to be honest I get a rather eerie feeling looking at this, that picture was a real boy that faced things most of us never have.
Looks stunning and very poignant
I hope this is the first of many quality historical figures from them if the quality is going to be like this
I’m not sure I could just buy and paint a miniature like this. The Warsaw Uprising has always left a bad taste in my mouth in a way few other battles have. The fact that the figure is based off of a photograph of an actual young boy involved only compounds the matter. That being said, I still applaud Scibor for taking on such a serious subject.
I’m with you on this one. I most likely will get it because I see it as a form of remembering the past and a bold step for the guys at Scibor. This will mean more to me than a full army of high detailed warriors as this is a snap shot of our history and a tribute to the kids that had to take up arms.
Quite
Will like to get this figure when released if at all possible
the face still looks nothing like the photo STILL stunning miniature, maybe they should just stop posting it alongside with the picture ^^
