Rubicon Models has been working on their Vietnam War range for a while now and it is very near to release! They have taken some time recently to showcase more of the finished miniatures for their United States Marine Corps including some painted figures.

United States Marine Corps Marines #1 - Rubicon Models

United States Marine Corps Marines // Rubicon Models

Presented at 1/56th scale, they are not only working on the miniatures collection as a range for hobbyists to have fun with. They are also working towards there being a game around this collection too.

United States Marine Corps Marines #2 - Rubicon Models

As is the case with all of the miniatures from Rubicon, they are incredibly well detailed and feature lots of different weapons. I like that you've got such a mix of different weapons from standard rifles through to rocket launchers, shotguns, grenade launchers and more.

United States Marine Corps Marines #3 - Rubicon Models

There are some rather awesome command figures in the set too. You've got neat characters like the ones above who are ordering Marines into the line of fire and calling in support from afar. I like that you could use these for all manner of vignettes and dioramas well thanks to the options you've got to play with.

Expanding The Viet Cong & NVA

In addition to the USMC, you'll also be able to pick up a set of miniatures for the Viet Cong and the NVA. This is just a sample of some of the additional figures they have been working on which would be useful for scenarios.

Sampan With Viet Cong & NVA Soldiers - Rubicon Models

I love that they have been playing around with lots of different additional miniatures for this range. It really adds to the setting and gives those new to the period a chance to research more about it. For example, I'd love to know how often these Sampan were used and how effective they were.

Are you going to be picking up this collection when they release?
