Rubicon Models Focus On The Vietnam War This Month
November 5, 2020 by brennon
Rubicon Models is changing their focus from World War II to the Vietnam War period throughout November and produce a selection of multi-pose USMC figures for you to use on Historical tabletops.
Vietnam War // Rubicon Models
This is an early look at some of the miniatures they have been working on for the period which should provide you with a selection of cool 28mm soldiers to use in your games. You'll have plenty of options for your standard Riflemen kneeling, firing, advancing and the like.

As with everything from Rubicon it looks like there was been a serious degree of research going into the miniatures from this collection. Whilst we're still early in the process for these there is a lot of detail worked into the different soldiers with plenty of individual elements on their helmets for example.

It looks like we're getting a few different styles for the heads in this set too. You've got a mix of older and younger-looking soldiers which certainly suits the poor individuals who got shipped off to fight in that sweltering jungle.

You'll have options for greenhorns and veterans as part of this new set and it could well form the basis for your next army project. It certainly feels like a good way to commemorate the start of the Vietnam War and allow hobbyists and wargamers to get researching the period.
Are you tempted to explore what they have to offer throughout this month?

Those look really good
Ooh they look brilliant.
Bam ? nice
Fascinating! Cannot wait for this, especially as we edge more and more into winter the thought of diving into the jungles of south east Asia sounds incredible haha
I took a look at Rubicon Models website. I’m not sure all the pictures are of the actual miniatures but i think they look really good in any case.
I know they’ve also got a growing range of WW2 figures as well. Not seen them appear in Bolt Action (or other wargaming rules) games on the table yet (or even any photo’s of them painted up).
I wonder how they compare to Warlords offerings if players are trying to build up an entire army using these minis.
Hopefully we’ll see some VC or NVA out in time for the Vietnam rules that Piers has been playtesting (although I’m torn between doing it in 20mm or “on the cheap” with a few boxes of Battlefront 15mm Vietnam figures).
Oh wow. The mix of ages is great (Warlord do it with their ww2 Brits and I love them for it). Will they be doing VC too?
Buys a box to fight Aliens, Survivors, and Cobra.
