RKX’s New Kickstarter Brings 28mm WW2 Canadians To Life
July 26, 2023 by brennon
RKX Miniatures has launched a new World War II campaign featuring STL Files for you to print off at home and use in your 28mm Historical wargames. This time around, the campaign is focused on the Canadians of World War II in Operation Plunder.
Operation Plunder: Part 1 Kickstarter // RKX Miniatures
The main thrust of the collection focuses on Operation Plunder as mentioned above and Montgomery's Rhine Crossing. You'll get all sorts of infantry, vehicles and more that represent the Canadian Army of 1945. As you can see, even the Core Files that you get as part of the campaign cover a wide range of different units that you'd need for building your armies.

The Platoon HQ leads a Rifle Squad alongside a lot of specialists like the PIAT Team and the Mortar Team. You've also got the LVT-4 and LVT Crew which you can use to ferry your soldiers around. The vehicle also comes with a full set of LVT Passengers which would be great for setting up some nice dioramas.

As well as the Core Files, you can also get your hands on a load of specialist equipment like additional Mortar Teams and even Artillery Teams. These are going to be handy for flushing the enemy out of cover and also dealing with whatever armour the Axis might be sending your way.

Both of these have already been unlocked as part of the campaign and should be great fun for those looking to really nail that Canadian vibe with their armies for Bolt Action and beyond. 3D Printing really has done a good job of filling in the gaps in people's collections and offering up the chance to make unique armies based on forces and factions that might not have been catered for with metal and plastic ranges so far.
You can also get the Canadian Ram Kangaroo as well if you want to 3D Print another vehicle for your force.

Much more is available to snap up as part of the campaign including Sappers, Universal Carriers and Commandos. There is also a multi-part kit that allows you to tweak your collection and make some unique soldiers which you can slot into your squads.
If you like what you're seeing here, you can also pick up a Free Bren Gunner Promo Miniature which you can test print and see if you like the options that RKX have presented!
Will you be diving in and snapping up miniatures from this Kickstarter?

I’ve been pretty relaxed when it comes to kickstarters, mostly as theres just so many I actually lost interest keeping up with them. This on the other hand looks very tempting
Nice looking force’s to add to games.
