Rescue Downed Pilots With 1st Corps’ Home Front Heroes
March 4, 2022 by brennon
1st Corps has been showing off some small but neat additions to their World War II collection. The Home Front range expands in particular with a little set that has two Home Guard helping out a Downed RAF Pilot.
Home Front Rescued RAF Pilot // 1st Corps
The set comes with two Home Guard who have no doubt followed the plane as it dived out of the air. They are now looking after his well-being, making sure he has a good cup of tea and getting ready to send him on his way. I really love the character and personality that you get in these sets. You can also get the set with the Universel Carrier if you like.
If you're heading to the battlefields of Europe then you might want some medical aid. The British Paratrooper Medics, for example, is a good set for those seeking to add just one or two miniatures to a collection.
British Paratrooper Medics // 1st Corps
You might not have considered dropping the likes of Medics and such into the mix but they are pretty handy, at least in Bolt Action, for keeping your soldiers going. You could also use them for slightly more narratively driven scenarios where you need to get help to downed soldiers across the battlefield.
Sticking with the British Paratrooper theme, there is also the Mine Clearance Team which keeps to the scenario-based feel...
Mine Clearance Team // 1st Corps
You could play as an outfit that has been tasked with clearing a minefield for advancing tanks and infantry. Little do you know that the Germans have put together an ambush in the nearby buildings and you're going to have to do the job whilst under intense fire.
Are you tempted to dive in and check out the World War II range by 1st Corps?
