Pre-Order New Plastic Soldier 15mm Soviet Infantry For The Cold War
September 25, 2017 by brennon
You can now head over to the Plastic Soldier Company website and get your hands on some new 15mm Soviet Infantry for use in your Cold War games.
The set will give you...wait for it, 125 figures to make for the tabletop. Included within the set you'll find Riflemen, grenadiers, RG7s and PKM machine guns plus heavy weapons support of AT-3 Sagger, AT-4 Spiggot, AGS-17 Grenade Launcher, SA-7 Grail AA Missile.
The models are looking great in their render form and, as we always say when we see these digital previews, we hope that the details carry over into the final product. If they manage to get that level of intricacy into the guns and their uniforms then it will be a very pleasing sight indeed to have these chaps on the tabletop.
Are you tempted by these Soviets?

I think they look good, and better than a lot of 28mm out there.
Looking at these, and thinking about the 15mm miniatures for Joan of Arc, I’m going to put it out there that 15mm might start to make some significant in roads into what has been 28mm gaming and hobby in the minds of many of us.
They do look good. Does anyone know what date range they are from / based on? (Yes, I know they’re ‘Cold War gone Hot’, but they are still presumably based on real uniforms that are particular to a certain time period.)
They have the AK-74, so late 70’s would be the earliest…
Thanks!

Another instance where Battlefront missed a big Team Yankeee opportunity and PSC is filling in the gaps. The sculpts look great, but I believe that image above is a render. I tend to hold off ordering these things until I can see the actual models on the website or in a review.
