Pre-Order Warlord’s New A Gentleman’s War Bolt Action Set!

Warlord Games are now taking pre-orders for the new A Gentleman's War Starter Set that will introduce you to the 28mm World War II wargame, Bolt Action. Head to North Africa for a clash between the British and Germans across the rolling sands of the desert.

This new set pits the British 8th Army (The Desert Rats) against the forces of the German Deutsche Afrika Korps. A Gentleman's War refers to the "lack the fanaticism and atrocities seen in other theatres of the war". Despite that, the fighting in North Africa was still some of the most gruelling in World War II.

Inside the set, you're going to get...
- 24x Afrika Korps Plastic Infantry
- Sd.Kfz 222/223 armoured car (new plastic kit)
- 24x 8th Army Plastic Infantry
- Humber Mk II/IVarmoured car (new plastic kit)
You will also get a full A5 Rulebook for Bolt Action and A Gentleman's wear, a starter booklet for getting into the game. You don't get scenery but you will find a set of Bolt Action Templates & Tokens, Pin Markers, d6 and also the appropriate Bolt Action Order Dice.
This means that you can get stuck into playing Bolt Action pretty quickly and with kits that offer plenty of opportunity for tinkering. The 8th Army plastic sprue offers up a lot of different options and it's ace that you also get those two new plastic vehicle kits too.

Nice starter in terms of the content, shame Warlord is going out of its way to push a dated view of the Western Desert campaign using the ‘Gentleman’s War’ label. There was fanaticism and there were atrocities.
