Pre-Orders are now available from Battlefront Miniatures for those wanting to pick up the new Nordic Forces for use in World War III: Team Yankee. The Cold War got hot and the battle shifted to Scandinavia as the Soviets push into the snowy forests and mountains of Northern Europe.

Starting out, there is the new Nordic Forces book (above) which comes with background and army-building information for Finland, Sweden, Norway and Denmark. You'll find rules for building different companies for the various Northern nations...

• Finnish T-72FM1, T-72FM2, or T-55M Armoured Companies, and BMP-1 or BTR-60 Jääkäri Companies
• Swedish Strv 103 S-Tank or Strv 104 Centurion Tank Companies, and Pbv 302 Armoured Rifle Companies
• Norwegian Leopard 1 Tank Squadrons, and M113 Storm Squandrons
• Danish Leopard 1 or Centurion DK Tank Squadrons, and M113 Armoured Infantry Companies

New Swedish Starter Force!

One such set that might be good for those starting out is the new Swedish S-Tank Company Starter Force from Battlefront Miniatures.

This gives you a solid set of vehicles to help push back the Soviet forces. You also get a complete A5 Rulebook in the set alongside a Start Here Booklet which is always handy for someone coming into the game fresh. There are also all of the Unit Cards needed to use these miniatures on the tabletop.

Full sets of Unit Cards are also going to be available for the expanded Swedish forces as well as the Finnish, Danish and Norwegians. This means that as you pick up different sets or indeed raid your collection, you'll find rules for everything.
