Warlord Games are now taking pre-orders for their new plastic Italians for you to use in your games of Bolt Action. The plastic set allows you to make thirty 28mm World War II miniatures for use in the new Soft Underbelly campaign.

This particular kit allows you to make Italian soldiers from a variety of moments in time during World War II. It also allows you to build soldiers that fit into all manner of different theatres of war too. Weapon options include the M91/41 rifle, M91/38 Carcano Cavalry Carbine, M38A Beretta SMG, M38 Carcano carbine, M1934, 9mm Beretta pistol and Breda M30 LMG. You've also got a variety of headgear options including M33 steel helmets, Bustina cap, M1935 pith helmet, Blackshirt soft fez and the Blackshirt hard fez.
Here is how the sprue shakes out which looks like it is loaded with different options. I am very happy to see that many of the rifle arms come already linked together removing the annoying fiddle!

You'll also see a lot of additional bits and bobs in here too. You've got gas masks, bags and holders, goggles, bayonets, combat knives and plenty more. I think you could have a lot of fun tinkering with this set, especially if you've been awaiting a way to add more Italians into the mix.
Italy: Soft Underbelly
These miniatures are available to pre-order alongside the brand new campaign supplement that we've talked about before on the site.

As well as loads and loads of army bundles that bring together the new plastics and older metal miniatures you also get that fancy pre-order miniature too. Enrico Francisci "The Fighting General" was an inspirational leader who did a lot with not very little. He was posthumously awarded the Italian Gold Medal For Military Valour due to his actions in the field.
Are you going to be snapping up these new plastic miniatures for Bolt Action?
