Scrappy New Partisan Fighters & Terrain From Spectre Miniatures
December 30, 2024 by brennon
Spectre Miniatures added a bunch of new miniatures to their collection for those seeking to play out Modern battles on the tabletop in 28mm. New infantry has been joined by vehicles but also some funky terrain that could help to theme your battlefields.
Partisan Fighter Element // Spectre Miniatures
The first set of miniatures is for this Partisan Fighter Element. They are made from irregular fighters who are unlikely to be career soldiers. Some may be combat veterans but most are probably civilians who have been drafted in to fight on the front lines.
With that in mind, they are often kitted out with older weaponry and in this case, they have old Soviet and German stockpiles to draw from. The different fighters are armed with weapons like the PPS-43, PPSh-41, Mosin-Nagant, SKS, DP-27, StG-44 and MG-42. Old weapons but still effective.
As if to highlight this all the more, you can also get your hands on his kit, the Partisan Maxim.
Partisan Maxim // Spectre Miniatures
An ancient weapon by modern standards, first designed in 1884. Regardless of its age, if it still fires then it can be used as a weapon to repel the enemy and so it has been cracked out to be of service once again. This particular Maxim has been updated with an ACOG scope strapped to the back to give the operator a bit more to work with.
New Vehicle Turrets
As well as the Partisan Fighters with their boots on the ground, there are also some vehicle turrets for you to consider throwing into the mix as well. Both of these are available for you to check out and add to your collection.
BMP-1AM // Spectre Miniatures
BMP-2 Berezhok // Spectre Miniatures
I should note once again that these are not the full vehicles but just the turrets for you to add to Spectre Miniatures' existing BMP-1 kit. Just add these on the top and you can bring some alternative weaponry to the tabletop.
New Terrain
There are also some great new terrain kits for you to pick up that can be used to build Soviet-style battlefields with ease. There are loads for you to choose from (HERE) but here are just a couple of my favourite sets.
Dragons Teeth // Spectre Miniatures
Large Tetrapods // Spectre Miniatures
You can get these as either physical miniatures or digital STL Files if you'd prefer to do the printing at home. Once you've got some of the bigger pieces of terrain set for your tabletop, these smaller pieces are great for adding a bit more colour and character. They are also handy for those wanting to find some cover!
What do you make of the new Spectre Miniatures releases for the end of 2024?
