Snag New Late War Tank Crews From Empress Miniatures

Empress Miniatures has been adding some new Late War options to their webstore for World War II wargamers. Three of the factions fighting during the period have been given Dismounted Tank Crews for use in scenarios.

Late War British Crew // Empress Miniatures

All of these could be really handy for use in gameplay. I always liked the idea of doing a rescue scenario where your army has to get onto the tabletop and make their way to a burnt-out tank where the crew are desperately holding out against the enemy.

It would make for an interesting game where the focus is on getting close to your objective and then retreating whilst providing covering fire. You could also twist things slightly within the rules and (if it doesn't exist) make rules for bailing out of destroyed tanks.

I like rules like that where when something blows up, it isn't just gone from the tabletop. It also means that you get little vignettes and scenes playing out on the battlefield as well as the massive unfolding conflict.

All of these teams help to build that narrative and offer up interesting wargaming ideas. Plus, they could be something nice to paint that isn't your general rank and file soldier!
