The first of these sets that you'll be able to pick up is the big thirty-man plastic squad of Bersaglieri for your Italians. Despite what you might think of the Italians and their skills in World War II, the Bersaglieri (sharpshooters) were highly trained marksmen and superbly fit. They were immediately noticeable thanks to the large, black capercaillie feathers that they sported on their helmets.
The kit comes with a whole host of options for you to consider adding to these miniatures and you'll have found them fighting in the desert, Sicily and even on the Eastern Front against Stalin's Red Army.

The next option that you'll be able to snap up is the FOO Team.
Italian Bersaglieri - FOO Team // Bolt Action
Your FOO Team are there to aid with the addition of artillery support. Forward Observers like these fellows were very useful for making sure that the firepower on offer would end up in the right place. You could introduce these to your force, squirrelled away in a little nook somewhere and make sure you bring down hell on your foes.
Taking a step towards blasting apart your foes on the battlefield, a little closer to home (by home, I mean the battlefield), you can also rock up with the 47mm Anti-Tank Gun.
Italian Bersaglieri - Elefantino 47mm Anti-Tank Gun // Bolt Action
This licensed Austrian light artillery piece was a solid anti-tank gun. It could fire high explosive anti-tank rounds and blast plenty of enemy armour apart. It also has a low silhouette and could be moved around quite nicely meaning that it would be a core part of Italian forces throughout the course of the war.
You can also rock forward with the mighty 100/17 Modello 14 Medium Artillery piece.

A massive howitzer. This gun and the crews that manned them again somewhat spoil the undeserved reputation of the Italians during World War II. The crews were incredibly brave and well-trained and would often be working with a random collection of different guns. They were well known for doing exceptionally well on the Eastern Front as Warlord says, firing over open sights at the approaching Soviet tide!
You can also pick up a gun for use with the Italian Army on the tabletop.
Italian Army - 100/17 Modello 14 Medium Artillery // Bolt Action
It does what it says on the tin as per the Modello 14 Medium Artillery piece but this set comes manned by the Italian Army instead. So, if you're looking for a set that suits a different battle or theatre of war, this is worth having a peek at.
All of these sets are available to pre-order right now from the folks at Warlord Games.
Could you be tempted by these?

Nice one I thought they only have all the feathers on the display grounds.
Don’t forget that some Bersaglieri troops saw action on the Eastern Front (in case you want to spice things up from the usual Germans vs Russians) 🙂
